For the last 2 wks± we have been on the biz owner war-path looking at minorities and their proclivities. We have presented data about bizes in general and certain bizes, specifically. This Scope is a cumulative look at biz ownership and receipts with a sharp focus on this nation’s major minorities (Hispanics, 17%±, Blacks 13%±, Asians 5%± and Women.) No matter how you feel about Mr Trump and his divisive pronouncements against minorities and women the data present in T-1 & T-2 have the most feeling.

  • Table 1 shows the remarkable growth of the US’s minority BIZ OWNERS. Perhaps, the data from ‘02 to ‘12 state the case best! Blacks, Hispanics and Asians have grown their bizes b/t 76% and 116% while Whites rate of growth has been miniscule/infinitesimal by comparison. To this minority ownership we add the “faces” of Females and we see that these double minorities are achieving even greater success enhancing their %s of biz ownership whether they are Asian, Black or Hispanic.
  • The BIZ RECEIPTS of Table 2 are even more impressive as Asian’s receipts grew by 143% from 02-12 when enhanced by female ownership, they grow to 205%. Hispanic receipts grew by 133% enhanced by a double minority status, they then become 137%. Finally, Blacks grew their receipts 112% when enhanced by female biz owners they become 113%. WOW, WOW & WOW!
