TOP 10 DOME$TIC HOLIDAY $EA$ON, ALL TIME!

With Mojo Box Office’s fine data we’re able to discover that the biggest (“natural” or uninflated) Holiday Season Box Office of ALL TIME (meaning since 1982 when Mojo’s movie data starts). The WINNER is the 2009 Domestic Holiday Box of $2.9 B when Avatar, Twilight II and The Blind Side opened. What a powerful 3some that was! (See T-2). These 3 top movies accounted for almost 44.9% of 2009’s entire Holiday Domestic Box Office. If the BIG 3 of 2015 reach their projected potential box office, it’ll be $1,379 M. And, if these 3 flicks were 44.9% of 2015’s Holiday Box, that Box would be the BIGGEST, EVER at $3,070.8 M.
