On Saturday 5/12/18 at 11:20 AM Mike will contribute to Gene Fogel’s (WJR, 760 AM) evaluation of M-Day expenditures. The 2018 expenditure is $23.1 B which is the 2nd greatest expenditure ever for M-Day. Next to the Xmas holiday season ($600 B+), M-Day is the holiday with the 2nd biggest expenditure. The NRF estimates that $180 will be spent by every “kid” aged at least 18 yrs old. The top 3 categories of expenditures will be Jewelry, Special Outings & Flowers.
